    Loxone with Z-wave

    Hi all,

As mentioned in previous posts I'm looking for a system that suits my needs for my new home that is being built as we speak.
Unfortunately there is no systems that has it all. Although I have to say that Loxone is doing a pretty good job to meet my requirements. I'm also not an easy client, since I'm a real gadget freak.
Before I implement I want to know a few things or check if it is do implement things in a certain way.

    - I want an alarm system, arming and disarming should be done by and ibutton or smartphone app. So I need a iButton reader at my door, the Intercom XL has that. However, I don't want to navigation feature. Can't I just buy the normal intercom with a iButton reader? Other solution is to drill the hole myself, but then I lose warranty I suppose.

    - I want a few wireless things: automatic doorlock (danalock or instant smartlock for instance), some of these lock have a Z-wave interface. Since Z-wave and loxone air are both in the 868MHz range, is there a way to bridge these? Or worse can they interfere? Will there be an Z-wave extension? EnOcean is to expensive, I don't mind changing the batteries now and then.

    - Since you release window locks recently, is there a doorlock in the pipeline maybe? Are you gonna enable manual unlock as wel? I'm always a bit skeptical on those locks because some of them cannot be opened from the outside. What in case of a power (battery) fail, will I be able to open my doors?

    - The audio server, great addon for some people maybe. But why invent something that already is very common and widely used? Spotify, Apple music, ... all that is needed is a medium to play it through. Why did you not implement the API so hardware like chromecast audio, ... can be used as zone source?
I'm probably gonna buy two or three chromecast audio's (30 euro each) and connect these to matrix with selects the correct audio routing.

    - I haven't downloaded the loxone config software, so didn't try it myself. Is the project offline editable? For instance, can i now start the project of my new house by manually start inserting the modules or do I need a working setup to be able to scan for all the available devices on the bus?

    - Cool feature would be that when someone rings at the door while you are watching TV, is that the camera feeds is streamed to the TV (and automatically pauses you favorite show of course).

As you can see I'm really in to the smart home, but still I want to lift it to the next level. Is there something like an Idea station for Loxone to get in detail of cool features?
