DALI lights direct input values

1. Is it a good practice to enter direct value to the DALI devices, instead of using Light controller?
   1. Got some logic behind and the light controller havent suited my use (or I havent figured it out at least)
2. What is the input range for DALI lights?
   1. Noticed, that if set to Type Smart it is 0-0.99, but if Type is set to Standard it is 0-100 (100+ behave as maximum)
