  • Lux Value Setpoint

I am trying to set a value in a Steinel sensor for light-level setpoint in lux. The data type is 9.004 (lux) how can i achieve this from the miniserver interface. I have uses a virtual input directly linked to the eib actuator with EIS9 - however this does not seem to work. How is this done?

Okay the actuator should be EIS10 but what should the units be of the virtual input and actuator to correctly write the 2-byte float value?

From your above text, I’m not sure if you want send data from Loxone to Steinel, or collect the value from Steinel to Loxone.
Could you link the technical data sheet including the communication objects, then we could figure out your needed settings.

PS: EIS10 is not a floating point datatype.

        Hi Christian,

You are right EIS5 solved the problem - however I have another one! I have a lighting stay on time with 1 Byte length and data type 8-bit unsigned value with (0...255) format. From what I have tested the miniserver is not able to handle this only 8-bit unsigned percentage (0...100%) via EIS6 which does not set the value in the sensor correctly. Any thoughts?

As far as I remember, Loxone may convert the EIS6 from percent to 255 (in the -->KNX direction) and back (in the <--KNX direction).

Therefore, try to set 100 (or 10) on the Loxone side and check the value on the KNX side, or so some tests with other values.
