Miniserver Gen2 + Modbus energy meter real-time sync issue

Hi everyone, I’m currently using a Miniserver Gen2 with a Modbus-compatible energy meter, and I’ve noticed that the values in Loxone Config update with a noticeable delay (around 5–10 seconds). I’ve already checked the polling interval and network stability, but the lag still happens, especially during rapid consumption changes.

Is there a way to achieve near real-time updates (1–2 seconds) for Modbus devices in Loxone, or is this limitation expected due to system design? Also, are there any best practices for optimizing Modbus performance in this setup?

    Hi,
to my knowledge there is no possibility to assure a certain checking intervall in Loxone.
In case of Modbus-TCP you could try running a Modbus-reading script like this one having your own checking intervalls. But even there you depend on multi-tasking issues. So if you have a highly loaded Miniserver you might have some latencies, too. Anyway your control is definitely higher.
