Rgbw DIMMER Anschlüss

Hallo Leute,

Ich spreche Leiter nicht so gut deutsch aber ich versuche es ja doch.

Ich möchte gerne etwas mehr wissen wie ich einem rgbw Dimmer angeschlossen wird. Brauche ich einem 5g1.5 KABEL dafür? Meine das ich von meinem rgbw dimmer einem x Meter wire 5g1.5 zum Led Strip lege?

Hi, thanks for the reply and sorry to be in the wrong Bereich. I have seen how to connect but I just want to understand which kind of cable is the correct one. Is 5g1.5 ok for the connection?

Hi Estenm,

first at all it depends on the country where you are going to install it.
As a non-electrician I mean it is not allowed to use the cable green/yellow for anything else than for ground.
So you have to search for cables without colored conductors, but with numbers. Or you go with 7x...

The dimension depends on length:
ΔU = I · R = I · ((2 · L · ρ) / A)

ΔU shall be smaller than 1 V (losses of voltage)
I = current
R = resist
L = length of your cable
ρ = 0,0172 Ω*m)/mm² for copper = constant)
A = area

change the formula to "A" and solve it... But you'll find a lot of information 'bout this in the web...
