    desktop environment on loxberry --> resolution issue

    hey guys,

    as this is my first post on the forum, I'd like to say "hallo" to everyone.
    cool to have such a loxone-friendly place
    Unfortunately I don't speach German good enough, thus I'm writing in english. Hopefuly it's not a big problem.

    so much for the introduction, let's get to the point.
    I've got a problem with desktop environment on loxberry.
    Have anyone already configured it successfully on raspberry pi 3b ?

    Basically it works, but I can't set proper resolution.
    I'm using 24" monitor connected to RPI by HDMI cable. The screen is vertically oriented.

    root@loxberry:~# tasksel[*] Debian desktop environment │[*] ... MATE
    (tried also gnome, cinamon, xfce,lxde etc. )

    I tried several display managers:
    gdm3
    lightdm
    sddm
    xdm

    few configs from /boot/config.txt:
    display_rotate=1
    hdmi_group=1
    hdmi_mode=16

    Once I log in GUI, settings --> display I see "unknown display" and I can't change display resolution.

    root@loxberry:/usr/share/xsessions# tvservice -s
    state 0xa [HDMI DMT (4) RGB full 4:3], 640x480 @ 60.00Hz, progressive

    root@loxberry:/usr/share/xsessions# tvservice -m CEA
    Group CEA has 9 modes:

    the loxberry has no desktop environment. You can only geht to the GUI through the webbrowser simply with the IP of the loxberry.

      yes, there is a loxberry's GUI available on web browaser.

      However, It's also possible to enable desktop environment, which I have done. Basically it's working, and I do see loxberry GUI on my screen. There is just a problem with correct screen resolution in my case.

        Maybe it's possible, intended by the Loxberry Team.
        So don't use things that are not provided, it ends in issues with plugins etc.

        Kein Support per PN!

        LoxBerry is Raspberry OS based on Debian Buster.
        You may check the Raspberry forum for settings for the X environment.
