What documents do I need to prepare when handing over a house?

    Hello,

I am about to take over a new house that has a Loxone system installed to control lights, blinds, shutters, heating, ventilation and access rights.
Before signing, I want to make sure that the system is handed over cleanly and with full administrative rights, but I am not sure what specific documents are required.

Can anyone who has taken over a house with a Loxone system or similar share more documents required or experience ensuring control of the system?

    Thanks you so much!

In addition to the documentation of the software part of the system, I would request more information on the sometimes invisible state hardware, like the wiring through the house. Furthermore, you need to find-out any dependencies to extertal HW and SW beyond the Loxone system itself.

Here a quick checklist to get started:

    Hardware
    - Bill-of-material of the central home control unit(s): type of extensions, miniservers and other components incl internal wiring. Also request purchase dates for possible guarantee in case HW requires service
    - Floorplan and wiring plan through your house and outside the house (eg garden), incl indication which wires are used for which protocols (eg 1wire, Loxone Tree, ethernet, supply lines) and also which items are connected to the same category/group/domain.
    - Connections / interfaces to the incoming/outgoing connections to your house (e.g. telephone line, glasfiber, electricity, etc)
    - Paper copy of the Loxone Config and BOM - note that the PDF does not show all internals, so a SW copy of the Loxone Config is required as well
    - Paper copy of specifications/datasheets of components/extensions used (if available)
    - List of admin and user accounts/passwords for login for Loxone Config and/or Loxone App, and loxone support portal
    - List of Miniserver MAC address(es) (registered at Loxone) and other subscriptions (e.g. Loxone weatherservice)
    - List of router settings and IP addesses of all devices connected to the network (wired and wireless)
    - List of wireless devices (e.g. Loxone Air and information on battery type used)

    Software
    - Loxone Config program
    - Backup of project configurations, incl a copy of the last uploaded firmware in the miniserver(s)
    - Copy of other software apps or images used (e.g. LoxBerry, Nodered, etc)
    - User guide/manual of the system made by the previous owner
    - List of cloud services used
