    Can't connect Miniserver

    Hi everyone, this is my very first post and first project.
    I am facing with a problem connecting to miniserver.

    The situation:
    Miniserver static IP: 192.168.1.77
    Router IP: 192.168.8.1 (if it matters)
    PC Static IP: 192.168.1.8 (I set that by myself in order to work)
    Miniserver is connected with LAN cable to the router as well as PC. Then I am able to connect to miniserver (but have no internet connection on PC because of static IP under IPv4 settings. Also when looking through CMD with command "arp -a", I see miniserver on the list with the same IP 192.168.1.77. When I try to ping this IP, I receive the signal back.

    Once I change PC ipv4 IP to dynamic, then I have internet connection on my PC, but cannot connect Miniserver anymore. On Loxone Config when I search for Miniserver it is found in the list under the same IP 192.168.1.77, but cannot connect to it. When I look on CMD with "arp -a", I can't see miniserver anymore and can't ping it.

    So it leads to the problem that I can config miniserver while connecting to it directly, but cannot connect through wifi or ethernet while having internet on my PC with dynamic IP. Also I cannot connect to loxone app.

    Could anyone explain me or tell me what should my steps be in order to connect to the Miniserver? I understand that I missed something and probably have lack of knowledge with network "things"...

    Check for different Subnets:
    192.168.1.x/24 != 192.168.8.x/24

    While set on dynamic IP, which IP-Address is your PC advertised from the router?

    If you set your IP static to one Address from the .1 Subnet, you can communicate directly to the miniserver, because its in the same subnet. Your communication isnt going through the router. At this time, you are using the router as a switch only.

    If your Router is in the Subnet 192.168.8.x and your PC is dynamicaly getting a IP 192.168.8.x you have to set the Miniserver IP in the same range, eg. 192.168.8.77

      Else change your subnet mask on the mini server and PC to 255.255.248.0 to be able to see all addresses from 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.8.255

        Thank you! It all worked by changing Misinerver IP to 192.168.8.77 when default router gateway is 192.168.8.1, as well as all devices are prescribed with IP's within this range.
