Light Fitting Question - Apologies in advance

    All,

Let me begin with apologizing for what is no doubt the most basic question on the forum.

I have just moved into a property that has a Loxone system installed which controls all the lights etc.

My question is, I would like to change some light fittings throughout the property, and usually it would be a case of flicking off the MCB changing the light and flicking it back on.

My concern is that will this effect any of the Loxone setup in any way? I assume the Loxone output goes through the MCB to the fittings so should be fine. But the whole cabinet setup is rather intimidating so I have left it well alone up to now.

    Apologies again.

    Many thanks
    Adam

Interesting question, does the Loxone Miniserver has a shutdown command?

I don't know and I just pulled the plug more than one time without any problems.

Or did I miss the point?

      Hi Gast
Changing the light fittings will have no influence to your Loxone installation. Be sure to have the right MCB switched off, and use a meter before removing the fittings.

If you change from normal bulbs (like normal one's, or halogen) to LED, keep an eye on the switch-on surge of the LEDs. The Loxone relays (Miniserver, Extension) have 5A maximum current. Replacing a lot of bulbs with LEDs in one circuit will increase the switch-on current on that circuit. That current could be 100 times the normal current (wattage) and could lead to sticking relays.
