  • Classic water sensor (not Loxone air)

As the 'Loxone Water Sensor Air' gets broken when it's submerged into water...
I'm searching for alternatives for the classic wired water sensor which is discontinued by Loxone.

Thanks, indeed, looks the same and the price is OK.

Just thinking, could it be an issue that the 24v is connected with the water when for example the basement is flooded?
I guess the 24V could be an issue?
But when another device (for example 230V) shorts on the water of the flooded basement, the 24V will raise to 230V (for a very short time), which can cause damage to the 24V loxone installation?

Any advice or alternatives? All feedback is welcome!

To avoid this, wouldn't be a relais a good choice?

The sensor power still needs to be 24V in a relay set-up to power the coil.
        So situation stays the same?

I am not an electrician, but when I understood correctly you'll try to avoid a damage on your Loxone components when there is a situation as described.
By using a relais you can dived them into two circles. In case of short circuit you can protect the Loxone, isn't it?

Since years I use the Kemo Waterswitch (https://www.conrad.at/de/p/kemo-m158...BoCPe8QAvD_BwE) in my boiler room, and already had several real alarms.

It has a relay, but is powered by 12VDC.
The box is mounted 2 meter high, and the electrodes are shown in the picture

Possibly nothing to install on a visible place, but works as expected.
